With Spring steadily on its way out in Texas and the Summer season approaching, there’s never been a better time to go out and enjoy some fresh home-grown food at Dallas’ best market venues. If you’re a Dallas local, there’s reason to celebrate because the Saint Michael’s Farmers Market is celebrating its 10th season, bringing an edibles-only non-profit farmers market to the Dallas community! Running all summer from 8 am to 12 pm, this wonderful market will showcase all the most delicious selections of food a person could ever want. Their featured foods include fresh vegetables, meats, cheeses, baked goods, pickled foods, and fresh condiments. If you’re looking to skip the usual grocery trip for something a bit fresher and tastier, the St. Michael’s Farmers Market is the perfect place to stop by, held rain or shine. Houston’s Spring Nutcracker Market Arrives With In-Person Shopping at Long Last!

Image
The Nutcracker Market! It’s finally here! Or, at least, the Spring edition of it is!  For those of you who are new to this, the Nutcracker Market is one of the most exciting shopping experiences of the year in Houston! Every Spring and Winter, an exciting selection of local vendors gathers at NRG Stadium to sell some truly unique items. From food to clothing to toys and art, guests can expect to fill their bags with all that catches their fancy from the stalls. And the best part? Not only do the proceeds go to great independent vendors, but also to fund the special Houston theater production of the Nutcracker!  While the Spring edition of the Nutcracker Market is typically smaller in scale, you can still expect all the finest of shopping options if you’re looking for some much-needed socialization and fun. I have fond memories of going with my mother back in the time before Covid. I always look forward to the tasty selection of snacks they have there, from fresh chocolate chip...

Image
I’ve discussed the emergence of Silicon Valley within Texas in the past. But there’s even BIGGER news! Many are saying that, as a tech hub, the Dallas-Fort Worth area has now significantly outshined the San Francisco Bay Area this year with both Silicon Valley and San Francisco slipping in their overall rankings. Companies near the DFW area are taking an especially aggressive turn in hiring out IT professionals. Major companies include: Lockheed Martin JPMorgan Chase USAA Citi Deloitte Verizon Wells Fargo IBM NTT Data InfoVision And more! Things are really picking up now, making Dallas a great place to live and work if you have technology on the brain! There’s no telling just how big this thing could possibly get and I can’t wait to see where it all goes!  I’ve made several blogs in the past discussing how great living in Dallas is. My favorite picks for residential living are the Lure, the newly-renovated Muse, Residence at Midtown, and Sierra Park. These spots have everyth...
