The Pig Stand: One of the Oldest, BEST Places to Eat in San Antonio!

San Antonio is the only place other than New York City that I can safely say has some of the best dining spots in the country. That’s right, you heard me. And I regret NOTHING because it’s true! San Antonio is known for its bold spirit of curiosity and community and it easily reflects on local restaurants. Today, I’d like to share one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio--The Pig Stand! This long-running establishment has been a natural San Antonio staple for nearly a HUNDRED years. That’s right, you heard me. It’s been around since the ‘20s, famous for some mouth-watering food items including Texas toast, deep-fried onion rings, and the country-fried steak sandwich. But the most famous item on the menu, of course, is the Pig Sandwich, a delicious pork sandwich oozing with the most tantalizing and juiciest of flavors in the state. Hewlett Packard Here to Stay!

Some great news for Houston residents living near the Vintage Park area!  Hewlett Packard, an esteemed hardware company, has recently announced that it plans to move its global headquarters to the Houston area from California, along with expanding its locations in Austin and Plano. Set for completion in the spring of 2022, HPE will be constructing a gigantic 440,000 square-foot campus for its workers, expanding its reach in the quiet suburban area. For Houston residents with a focus on technology and engineering, this will be a huge opportunity for excellent employment advancement.  The current HPE headquarters, stationed near the Vintage Park region, is already a testament to the company’s strong influence in the area. For Houstonians carefully watching this new development, it would be incredibly wise to start making plans to grow more accustomed to learning about the company once job opportunities begin to explode following the end of the pandemic.
