  Ready to take exercise to a doggone exciting level? On December 4th, the Houston Humane Society will be hosting its 40th Annual K9 FunRun! This event will feature a competitive 5K run where guests can enjoy a brisk race with their pooches, as well as meet plenty of adoptable furry friends along the way! For any experienced racer or animal lover, this is the perfect opportunity to really stretch your legs and enjoy some spectacular sights and sounds with the cutest companions in the city!  This event will feature an array of great things to see and do beyond just running! There will be live entertainment, a kid zone, food, drinks, a place for your pets to cool off, and, of course, plenty of adoption opportunities for those of you looking to give Houston’s shelter pets a Forever Home! Not wearing green? You better pinch yourself because you’re not going to want to miss this exciting St. Patrick’s Day event! Dallas is always booming with new things to do, especially during key holidays like St. Patrick’s Day! And what could be better than having a good run outside with friends and family, and all while getting to taste over 20 unique craft beers? Starting at TUPPS Brewery at 9 am on March 13th, the McKinney Shamrock Run 5K will kick off the city’s main St. Patrick’s Day celebration! Guests will race across the McKinney Cotton Mill straight to the finish line, where they will receive their finishers medal and get to enjoy the best brews from local vendors, complete with ice-cold green TUPPS beer!  And at the McKinney St. Patrick’s Day Beer Walk, guests will get to sip and stroll across the streets of downtown McKinney while listening to some awesome live Irish music throughout the day. For residents in San Antonio, you now have a big reason to celebrate as the Chocoholic Frolic 5k is scheduled to share some sweet chocolatey goodness for participants to enjoy!  Starting and finishing at River City Community Church, 3809, 16765 Lookout Road , the Chocoholic Frolic is a chip-timed race that rewards all participants with chocolate at the finish line. You can run, jog, or walk your way through the course, gaining some healthy fresh air and exercise along with some tasty treats!
