Welcome to Memorial City, Treebeards!

It’s been a long time coming, but Treebeards has now finally opened its doors at its new expanded location at 9655 Katy Freeway.

The unique area of Memorial City is primed for all things fun and food! The Memorial City Mall, CityCentre, and Town and Country Village in particular are ideal shopping destinations and there’s definitely no shortage of exquisite dining options available. In terms of apartment living in this area, residents will find it to be an upscale, heavily-resourced location in Houston with  a wide variety of retail locations and school options for parents with children. For young residents, especially members of The Providence at Memorial, Hammerly Oaks, and The Providence at Heights apartment community, this area is notable for having one of the two Dave and Buster’s locations in the city within close proximity. Additionally, the surrounding area also boasts some crucial social and informational facilities such as the Trini Mendenhall Community Center, the Spring Branch Memorial Library, Memorial City Medical Center, and more.

Treebeards, the Louisiana-inspired restaurant has captured the hearts (and taste buds) of many Houstonians for decades and, even while we’re all hunkered down during Covid-19, lucky residents in the Memorial area may now have quicker and easier access to that sweet southern cooking, from gumbo to red beans and rice to that oh-so scrumptious bread pudding. Be on the lookout for new dinner items as well, including stuffed pork chops and roasted salmon. The restaurant will also feature new bar-food items such as a pimento cheese dip, crab and shrimp queso, and deviled eggs. Personally, I can’t wait to get my hands on some of their special dessert goodies, from their signature cakes to their fresh-baked cookies and brownies. Suffice to say, it’s never a bad day’s eating here.

Treebeards is now open from 11am to 9pm and Happy Hour will be from 3pm to 6pm accordingly. You can also check out the menu here if it’s your first time and remember to wear a mask! #Treatyourself and see you there!
