May Holiday Cheer Light Your Path!

Winter in Austin, Texas, has never looked prettier. With 2020 being such a gloomy year for everyone, it's time to celebrate the holiday and illuminate some much-needed hope on the horizon. That's why the 56th Annual Austin Trail of Lights is a wonderful opportunity to unwind and enjoy some holiday cheer with loved ones.

The city of Austin is a highly unique, diverse, and engaging city with an endless array of fun things to see and do. I personally really enjoy the modern atmosphere and millennial flavor to its businesses and architecture. You can find many different opportunities here for excellent residential living and convenient commutes, on top of all the entertaining events you’ll be attending across the city!

The Trail of Lights is an excellent opportunity for friends and family to enjoy a socially-distanced celebration of the season from their vehicle with visitors getting to take in the sights of a beautiful display of lights and color. Located in Zilker Park, the Trail of Lights will feature more than 2 million lights illuminating the park, along with 90 lighted holiday trees and more than 70 other holiday displays and lighted tunnels. For lovers of the great outdoors, even if it’s from the car, it’s a great way to get some fresh air and enjoy a more nature-focused setting.

For Austin apartment residents, you’ll have easy access to the park depending on where you live. For example, residents in the Parker Lane and South Manchaca areas such as Treehouse Apartments and The Reserve will likely not have too much hassle as they live in a cozy suburban community without much traffic. Residents farther across the city, Woodstone Apartments, for example, might have a harder time getting in without traffic. But they also have the advantage in that they can plan their visit in advance and have far better preparation than someone nearby who just appears on the fly. It all depends on time management in where and when you leave the house. In my experience, Austin traffic can sometimes be completely unpredictable! But that’s Texas for you.

Either way, the Trail of Lights is a great way to share the magic of the season with the ones you love, taking in all the wonderful sights of the Christmas season. General Admission passes are $25-$35 depending on dates. For more information, you can check out the site HERE. Have fun!
