No Red Flags Here--Only SIX Flags of FUN!!

One of the biggest appeals about Dallas, on top of everything else, is its nearness to an actual amusement park. Ever since the tragic demise of Houston's beloved Astroworld in 2005, the Lone Star State's desires for coasters, rides, and thrills have never been fully quenched. Luckily, thanks to Dallas' huge degree of convenience, residents can enjoy a sense of real excitement with close reach to Six Flags Over Texas, Dallas' largest theme park attraction!

Six Flags Over Texas is located primarily just 20 minutes out of Dallas in the Arlington area. This quiet, sunny part of the state is known for its easygoing, lively atmosphere, especially when it comes to entertainment. Six Flags Over Texas stands as its biggest attraction, especially during the holiday season. Going on right now, Six Flags Over Texas is engaging in its yearly Holiday In The Park celebration. Guests can enjoy special forms of holiday entertainment, seasonal treats, Christmas lights, visits from Santa, and more! This, naturally, is with proper social distancing orders in place so that everyone is safe during their time at the park.

In terms of getting over to the Six Flags area, apartment residents of the Dallas and Arlington areas have a wide range of different options and conveniences. If you’re someone farther out near the Fort Worth area, you might have a bit of a drive. The same can be said for Dallas residents over in the Midtown area--Residence at Midtown Apartments for example--but with more city-centered traffic added into the mix. The good news is that residents that live farther away have time to plan accordingly and therefore stay on their toes for any early-morning advantages they might have at leaving at an earlier time. Residents that live in the Grand Prairie area are at a much better advantage overall as they are near the border between Dallas and Arlington. Residents at the newly-acquired Muse Apartments are in a good spot as they are right near the Interstate. But by far the best spot lies with residents living directly in the Arlington area. Residents who are living at Residence at Arlington or guests resting at SpringHill Suites have barely a ten-minute commute over to the park.

Sometimes, getting out and having fun is important, so long as you remember to keep safe. While I’ll likely be waiting (and recommending) until the vaccine comes out to go, I still take pride in the fact that Dallas at least upholds the tradition of large, entertaining theme parks in Texas. With luck, here’s hoping I get to visit again very soon!
