No Shortage of Holiday Festivities in Downtown Houston!

I love this time of year. From the scent of fresh Christmas trees to the hint of frost in the air, the holiday season in Houston is a truly magical experience that I always look forward to. And that goes double for the plethora of different holiday events taking place around the city, especially in the downtown area.

The Heritage Society in Downtown Houston is hosting a wonderful Candlelight Holiday Market event around Connally Plaza from December 11th through the 13th. For those of you who are absolutely crazy about holiday markets like I am, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the spirit of the season, all while taking proper safety precautions of course. The event will feature live music, food, beverages, unique holiday decor, gifts, and historical reenactments. And don’t forget about Santa! He’ll be there too, along with his elves for all you parents looking for a family photo!

For residents living near the Downtown Houston area, I can’t begin to cement how wonderful this opportunity is for those of you with children or for those needing some much-needed holiday cheer. I’ve mentioned Bayou Park and Villa Nueva as ideal apartment locations in the past due to their close proximity to Downtown. By popular demand, I’m constantly expanding my borders and doing some research to see who else would fit the bill in terms of comfortable living and convenience near popular areas around town.

Based on my findings, if you’re living too far out near the Fairbanks area, Shadow Creek Apartments, for example, you might want to travel through Hedwig Village to get into the city without the traffic boom. Apartment residents at Arya Memorial Heights, on the other hand, will find only a six-minute drive over to the Heritage Society as, like Bayou Park Apartments, they get the first pick of EVERYTHING in terms of location convenience. If you’re more than twenty minutes away from the city, always make sure to plan out your visit with commute times in mind. The last thing you want is to miss a precious family memory because Houston traffic was acting up that day.

Regardless, I’m super excited about this event and I sincerely hope you’ll all come and enjoy it for yourselves! Tickets are starting at $15 and can be purchased here. Remember to bring your masks as they, along with temperature check-ins, will be required. Happy shopping and stay safe!
