Strolling for Holiday Spirit: The Downtown Austin District Celebrates the Season!
For all Austin residents living near the downtown area, the time has come to brush off your holiday blues and come celebrate the 26th annual Downtown Holiday Stroll celebration! Even though Covid-19 has weakened a lot of holiday spirit, residents still have the chance to take part in some truly exciting holiday activities, and all with proper social distancing protocol in place.
Downtown Austin, as well as Austin in general, is a truly exciting place to live for a young person, or even those with families. From its wonderful local clubs, art displays, and restaurants, this city simply can’t be beaten in providing all its residents with a youthful and lively atmosphere. I cannot recommend it enough as it’s been a unique and thrilling experience every time I’ve visited. And when it comes to celebrating the holidays with a sense of fun after such a gloomy year, I’m ready to rock and roll!
Austin’s Downtown Holiday Stroll is an ideal holiday attraction for friends and family alike. You’ll find an assortment of fun activities from holiday shopping to window and light displays. There will also be key photo-ops and a 45-foot downtown holiday tree! It’s a great way to share the time we have together as well as take part in the true spirit of warmth that comes with the holidays.
When it comes to commuting towards Downtown Austin for apartment residents, there are many different options to choose from. If you’re living in apartments closer to the Round Rock area, you’ll find that it might take up to 20 minutes to reach the downtown district. Residents living in the Crestview, North Shoal Creek, and Allandale areas, on the other hand, are in a great spot as they have only a ten-minute drive over. It’s important to always keep track of traffic as it can sometimes be unpredictable in Austin. And when it comes to celebrating the holidays downtown, you might find that there are plenty of people crowding around to see the sights.
Take some time this holiday season to celebrate the spirit of goodwill and family with the Downtown Holiday Stroll. It might be cold and a little crowded, but there’s still plenty of space for healthy social distancing and you’re not going to want to miss the chance to make some real holiday memories. You can find more information on dates and events HERE. Grab a hot chocolate and see you there!
