A Sky-High Great Time at Space Center Houston
I have plenty of fond memories of Space Center Houston from when I was little.
You’d be amazed at just how much the experience is able to capture a childlike sense of wonder for those who are experiencing it for the very first time. I’m not even really all that big into space exploration nowadays but I’ll admit that it’s pretty awe-inspiring for a small child. And one of the big features that Houston can proudly brag about is its amazing space center. While we’re not the main launching location, we are definitely the brains behind NASA with our communications center and where the astronauts train and rest between missions.
And one of the crowning achievements of having such a great space program means having quick access to one of the most entertaining spots in Houston! Space Center Houston is home to some truly informative and engaging entertainment that people of all ages can experience. With holiday events, fun-filled exhibits, great hands-on activities, and plenty of room to run and explore, it’s an absolute must for those of you who are living in the Houston area.
Every year, they provide some truly breathtaking adventures that you will definitely never forget, from their Galaxy Lights attraction during Christmas to special Halloween events, and more! Plus they also feature places where you can watch some of the NASA staff at work--something that blew my mind as a kid. I’d always wanted to see a real-life astronaut and this is definitely the place to make good on that desire. And the great part is that kids will have the chance to really learn something about NASA, shaping the potential to one day become astronauts or part of the NASA team as adults.
While Space Center Houston is located on the Clear Lake part of town, residents really should have no issue getting over with ease. If you’re living in great Houston apartments like Bayou Park, Eden Pointe, La Primavera, and Legacy at Westchase, you’ll have ample time to make your way over with no trouble at all.
Reach for the stars and take the time to visit Space Center Houston. I definitely recommend the experience if you’ve never gone before. You can visit their main website HERE.
