Houston’s Beautiful Hermann Park

Looking for a great place to unwind within the Houston area?

Look no further! If you’re a Houston resident and haven’t had the chance to visit Hermann Park yet, it’s your civic duty to stop by for a visit. Located in Houston’s Museum District, Hermann Park is a sprawling, beautifully landscaped park full of green fields, wide spaces, and plenty of great things to see and do across all boards! The park is home to some of the most iconic recreational landmarks in the city, including the Houston Zoo, Miller Outdoor Theatre, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and the Hermann Park Golf Course.

I was actually just at Hermann Park a weekend or so ago. It really is something spectacular, complete with some excellent civilian services and some absolutely breathtaking nature. If you’re a fan of the great outdoors, this is definitely up your alley for a great weekend run or even a great way to spend some quality time with friends or family. Covid took a lot out of us in terms of wanting to go outside and enjoy the sunshine. So visiting Hermann Park can be a great way to enjoy the full Houston experience while also getting some fresh air.

Houston is full of fun things to see and do on both a weekly and daily basis. If you’re an apartment resident at great local places like Barcelona, Bayou Park, Capewood, or Village at Piney Point, now’s a perfect time to grab the kids and scope out an amazing weekend visit to all the best museums in the Hermann Park area!

Please bear in mind--the area CAN get crowded during holidays and specific parts of the weekend. And if you’re looking to socially distance, it’s very important to be aware of just how hectic the area can be during certain hours. Always plan out your trip in advance, or schedule good times when you know that crowding will be at a minimum. Here’s a handy link to all the great points of interest located in the area. Remember to wear your mask and some sunscreen in case of a hot day!

Go out there and enjoy the sunshine, Houstonians!
