Houston Gets SPOOKY This Summer With The Horror Film Festival!

A little-known fact about me--I’m absolutely nuts for the horror genre.

Not because I’m particularly morbid but because I just enjoy a good scare. And after years of enjoying these crazy popcorn flicks, you really come to appreciate the genre for what it is, as well as all the hard work and passion that goes into it from its talented actors and artists.

Luckily, I’m not alone. For years, the horror genre has cultivated a wide and dedicated audience, especially within the Houston community. And now Houstonians can celebrate because the Houston Horror Film Festival is finally here! Now that Covid is tapering off, we have the new opportunity to celebrate this amazing genre with a showcase of iconic guests, imagery, merchandise, and fun, all celebrating the chills and thrills of the horror genre over the years.

Running from June 25th to June 27th, the Houston Horror Film Festival will feature some well-known actors and actresses from horror history, including Tyler Mane, Scout Taylor Compton, Clint Howard, Naomi Grossman, and more! Dedicated fans can attend to show their love and support, as well as collect some ghoulishly-glorious merchandise and photo opportunities!

For those living nearby or in the Houston area in general, this is an excellent opportunity to get out and enjoy the full thrills of socializing after a year of stagnation. Plus, for horror junkies like myself, it’s a great way to celebrate the genre’s strong legacy with like-minded individuals. If you’re living in great affordable apartments like Bayou Park, City West, Sedona Pointe, Shadow Creek, and Providence at Heights, you should have no trouble at all finding the convention’s prime Marriott location.

I’m completely thrilled at the prospect of this event and I personally can’t wait to go. When it comes to all things spooky, scary, and full of terror, you can always count me in! If you’re just as excited about this amazing convention like I am, you can check out their main website HERE. Tickets can be purchased at this link and are listed at anywhere from $10 to $140.

Over 40 horror films, celebrity guests, and a slew of amazing vendors. What could be any better than that? See you there, horror fans!
