Houston is home to some really excellent places to visit in the Downtown area, whether it’s Discovery Green to its excellent theater district, to its amazing club scene. You can always find something going on, especially during the summer when things really take a huge turn for the better in terms of exciting events and exhibits.

One thing that is great about summer in Houston? Baseball is on! And where else can you go to catch a game than at our amazing Minute Maid Park location! As the most popular place to visit in the downtown Houston area, Minute Maid Park features a ton of killer sightings and exciting opportunities, from its majestic Houston skyline to its exhilarating Astros games! 


While I have plenty of fond memories of watching old baseball games over at the still-standing Astrodome, there really is something breathtaking about seeing a game in a huuuuuge stadium filled with roaring sports fans. Minute Maid Park benefits from a humongous sense of scope and atmosphere each time you go. And even if you’re not a baseball fan, there really is a level of fun and excitement to be had that you just don’t want to miss. 


Minute Maid Park stands as a huge landmark for sports-loving Houstonians and stands to impress with its sense of innovation in stadium construction. It was through Minute Maid Park’s retractable roof technology that Houston was finally able to fully experience open-air baseball for the first time in 35 years. And when you’re watching a game in broad daylight underneath the big beautiful Houston sky, there really is no other feeling in the world that screams adventure and action. 


While it can get pretty crowded during game days, local Houstonians can still easily get over to the stadium so long as they plan their visit in advance. If you’re living at great residences like City West, Diamond Hill, Lakeside Forest, Eden Pointe, or Sedona Pointe, I definitely recommend making sure that you have plenty of time to get over so that you don’t get lost in the crowd.
