Houston’s Screen On The Green

You really can’t put a price on a lazy summer evening, especially when it’s outside in one of the finest areas in Downtown Houston!

I’ve extolled the amazing virtues of Houston’s Discovery Green in the past but it goes without saying that this park really is a spectacle to behold. From its amazing scenic downtown location to its beautiful playgrounds, art, and fountains, Discovery Green is the pride and joy of the area, a perfect place for children and families.

Running throughout the summer, Discovery Green will be featuring its summertime Screen on the Green events. These screenings will include some of your favorite family films including Mulan, Onward, Raya and the Last Dragon, and Abominable to name a few. Families can experience the magic at the movies under the warm glow of the summer evening with the beautiful lights of Downtown Houston all around. And the best part? The movies are FREE, and guests are even invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets! You can even bring snacks and drinks to fully take advantage of the full movie experience!

Downtown Houston is absolutely breathtaking at night, especially once the lights dim and everything goes quiet. I can’t imagine a better place to really capitalize on just what it means to be a Houston resident. If you’re living at my favorite Houston apartment locations including Casa del Mar, Buena Vista, Sedona Pointe, Diamond Hill, and Providence at Memorial, you can definitely experience the full-fledged fun of Downtown’s Discovery Green with ease!

Personally, I enjoy watching movies outdoors. There’s just something about the atypical atmosphere that really adds a lot of appeal to the experience. And because summer in Houston is more of a spectacle than anything else, what better way to experience some happy nostalgic memories to look back on!

I definitely recommend these screenings as they can really add a lot to a sense of summertime fun, as well as allow for your kids to become more acquainted with just how awesome Discovery Green is! For additional information, check out this handy link HERE. Grab your popcorn and enjoy!
