Family-Friendly Adventures at Kemah Boardwalk

The unjust killing of AstroWorld really took its toll on plenty of Houstonians with a love for theme parks. The good news is that we’re not completely without the thrill of the theme park experience thanks to Kemah Boardwalk.

Located near the Houston area, the Kemah Boardwalk is open daily with the goal of providing a unique level of fun and entertainment for individuals and families alike, complete with rides, great food, and a wonderful coastal atmosphere. The welcoming waterfront climate also includes an array of great shopping locations, festivals, and seaside shows every day, adding to a sweet-natured climate to make the kinds of memories we all could have after losing our beloved AstroWorld.

But don’t worry, the Kemah Boardwalk stands on its own as a completely different experience. There’s even an aquarium that guests can enjoy, along with towers, roller coasters, and some truly great restaurants. Houstonians definitely have plenty of quick reach to the area to really get a feel for the homey Kemah atmosphere. I’ve been to the Kemah Boardwalk a number of times with my family and I’ll definitely say that it’s perfect if you’re looking for something that, while smaller in scale than most theme parks, is perfectly fun and accommodating for all guests looking for quality entertainment.

Houston residents living in great apartment communities including Tivoli at Vintage Park, the Steeples, Providence at Memorial, Stonecreek, and Quail Creek can all expect easy commutes over to the Kemah Boardwalk and you’ll find that the hours of operation are pretty lengthy even during these difficult Covid times. So as long as you remember to wear your mask, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy all the best things to offer in the food, shopping, and rides departments.

I definitely recommend visiting the Kemah Boardwalk. It’s really a great place to hang out with loved ones on a relaxing weekend, as well as a solid entertainment experience all around. If you’re curious about rides, shopping, or restaurants at the Boardwalk, you can visit their main website at this handy link I’m providing HERE.

While AstroWorld will always live on in the hearts of the Houstonians who remember it, the Kemah Boardwalk is definitely a great place to visit for a truly fun theme park outing! Stop by and see for yourself!
